Victor Harbor to Meningie

Today riding for “the ANZACS”
After a very moving dawn service at Victor Harbor the peloton said their goodbyes to the nation via the channel 7’s sunrise weather cross and then headed in the horse shoe journey to Meningie.
The first 80kms were all in all a pleasure to ride. The same unfortunately can’t be said for the last 65 with circa 50 k’s off this into a 45km per hour head wind and sleeting rain…
There were many mental barriers to overcome today. Team Leongatha of myself and Laura Macnamara really pulled each other through and all of Team CBA were a massive support network…
Time to enjoy another few beers with Jensie tonight and rest up for 188kms tomorrow…
