2 Days to go – Fundraising for Cancer Cure & Prevention – Tour de Cure – Adelaide to Canberra – Friday April 26th to May 6th
We leave in three days from Adelaide for Canberra, on route with a joint goal to raise $2.5mm and to to share our message about Cancer cure and Prevention. Please think about supporting us as the group does great things for a great cause.
Its important to me because Lorna and I have three young girls and I am 51 which is just a year older than the year my Father was lost to Stomach Cancer. 25% of Cancers are preventable so the tour focuses rightly on advocating prevention, through the many school children we reach on tour, through the local communities we donate resources for helping the affected and for the research grants that follow to address research into cause.
Bikes are the vehicle that allow the engagement to follow, the team works physically hard and that effort is rewarded with publicity and a virtuous circle of support. So look out for us on Sunrise each morning as we connect the cause to communities on route – and again please consider supporting us as its a worthy cause.
Attached is a shot from my first school visit in 2012 which was so very rewarding that it’s another reason for me cycling in 2013 – many more school and community visits to follow next week.
