After packing as light as possible (we are only allowed to take 10kg!) I flew to Sydney yesterday afternoon. The bike managed to make it in one piece which was a huge relief. I was not pleased to wake up to pouring rain today, and it has not eased up all day. It could certainly make for a very soggy departure in the morning from the Channel 7 HQ at Martin Place.
This afternoon I need to go and register, pick up all the Tour de Cure cycling uniform, meet my fellow riders, have team briefings, a team dinner this evening and early to bed. We roll out between 8 and 9am tomorrow morning.
Keep an eye on the Sunrise show on Channel 7. They will be doing a live cross tomorrow morning to Mark Beretta (he is on tour with us) and each morning during the ride.
