Hi, I’m David Halliwell and in  August last year, I was diagnosed with a cancerous tumour in my right kidney and had the total kidney removed in September. My condition was discovered incidentally and to say I was lucky is an understatement. I am extraordinarily lucky. This ride and fundraising is a motivating factor in my recovery and I want to continue making a difference to the lives of those affected by cancer. I don’t think there is a person in the world
that hasn’t had some connection to cancer. I have watched loved ones battle
this terrible disease, some have won the fight but too many have lost their
struggle. Whilst this is a terrifying truth, it also inspires me to help find a
cure for cancer.
