The end of a journey

Hi everyone,

The Tour is over. It has been a very emotional trip. I would like to thank all of you for following me on my journey and for all your support. It warmed my heart and helped me going all the way to Canberra. Although the last day was a bit more flat (2000m climb instead of 3100m the day before), we had a new challenge waiting for us in the morning… a nice -7oC. Sure, -7oC is not too bad when you are dress properly, but in bike gear, it is a bit more chilly. And as good French Canadian as I am, I refused to wear long pant! Yes my toes were very cold but just as much as my fellow Australian friends who were wearing a few more layers hehehe. The temperature warmed up a few hours later and without noticing it, it was back to a nice 15oC, which was perfect for a ride. So, 180km later, after a few ‘’comfort stops’’ and with a nice warm sun, we entered in Canberra. We went to take a few pictures in front of the parliament house and then, we headed to a nice park where my colleague Steven and his family as well as most of my fellow rider`s families were awaiting. That was it, the trip was over. Now, what to say… where to begin… There could be so much more written here but all I really want to say is that cancer is a disease that touches all of us at one point in our live. I joined the Tour de Cure as I think their purpose can really help in finding a way of reducing the prevalence of this monster. 10 320$, this is what I have raised so far. I have until the end of June to reach my target of 12 000$ so please, share this to all your friends. But really, those 10 days, 1626.20km of riding and 11 887m of climbing, they are dedicated to my mother Lyne and for my good friend Annick. You will always be in my heart and I will always miss you.
