Last TDC training ride
It was a glorious day for riding this morning, compared to yesterday!
6am departure from Maiseys at Neutral Bay, we were a small group yet a committed one. As we departed so did a group from Chain Reaction also on their last training ride as they depart for Melbourne on Wednesday for there ride to Sydney fundraising for the Victor Chang Foundation.
Last ride & lots of roses to smell. One tyre blow out on the way took a rider out & home in a taxi. Leg warmers, arm warmers & a gilet (cycling vest) & for some toe covers. One more stop to the Specialized shop to get some toe covers required than I’ll be sorted for tour. It’s significantly colder now & as we’re heading south I don’t suppose it’ll get any warmer.

& Warriewood SLC for breakfast. Magic!
Next thing to do is clean up the bike, strip it down, no lights, no Garmin, no mechanical bag, then deliver her to TDC headquarters for travel down to Adelaide. Then for the best bit picking up the kit, it’s like Christmas! Hot pink is the new flourish. When you unpack new socks you realise just how worn your old socks really are, it’s exciting stuff, tonight I’ll pack my bag.
