Assessment Day!
03/02/13 Up at 4.30am to make the 5.40am departure from Maiseys Neutral Bay to Calga return via Bobbin Head 132km in total. 29.6km average & the body is still trying to recover.
Had some doubts about my fitness today as did a few others, only managed about 5 mins on the front & had to peel off before my heart jumped out of my chest.
There were a few suck it up moments as I was reminded that the training really is tough at times, hopefully not so tough next week.
The result….passed the assessment, so heading in the right direction.
Managed to replant the vege garden so the afternoon was not lost. Didn’t take Carla for her driving lesson though as planned, thank goodness her dad stepped in, I would have struggled with that!
