Hello world!
Welcome to My Tour de Cure Blog.December 2012 and the Tour is looming!!. April in South Australia seems a far cry from summer in the tropics, but I know that if I don’t get out in the heat and train I won’t be ready for the daily distances we have to ride in April.
2012 will see me clock up 8,000ks – this year, just to train for and complete the Tour de Cure I will have ridden 7,000ks before May – that is a lot of time in the saddle.
Thinking of my family, friends and workmates who have lost their battles with cancer keeps me motivated to head out in the heat aznd get me to the start line, but most important, Sharon’s support and encouragement and the support of Mornington Shire Council and our community will get me to the end.
I’m proudly going forth as an Ambassador for the mob from Mornington Island. They have the double whammy of still copping it from cancer, but then having to travel away from their friends and family into unfamiliar territory for treatment.
