I am riding my first Tour De Cure in April 2013, the tour will take the team from Adelaide to Canberra in 10 days travelling a total of 1540km through 3 States and a Territory, don’t forget the snowy mountains!!! Being from Perth where the Hills are no more than glorified sand dunes the challenge ahead is both daunting and exciting.

The few hours of climbing these mountains ranges on a bike with no motor in early May might sound like a tough challenge, however its nothing when compared to the challenges that cancer patients face. Like a lot of people I have seen this first hand through my parents battle with cancer and this is why I have decided to do something!

So the challenge is to train hard and raise awarness for the Tour De Cure and in doing this small thing create a better opportunity for the future. I view riding the Tour De Cure as a privilege and one that I will cherish. Keep an eye out for the updates and a big thankyou to everyone that has helped out so far!!
