CommBank puts on a Barbie!
What a spectacular day last Wednesday when Team CommBank gave “world largest barbie” contestants a real scare with the Commonwealth Bank Place Tour de Cure sausage sizzle. Super hot and sunny – people turned up in droves to pick up a sausage and support the cause whilst 5 of us (Dave Curran, Rachelle Koster, Tim Brown, Rob Armstrong and myself) sweated it out on the trainers for nearly 3 hours. We were not anticipating lunch to be a training ride in its own right but it ended up there! Great turnout – we fed over 1,000 mouths and raised $5,200 for TDC. Also went through 6 bottles electrolyte, 2 sausages and a Cadel Evans winners bar during the “ride”.
