Day 7 – Benalla to Albury 140 km

I am having big IT issues this evening so this will have to be short and sweet. This morning was early and the cold really bit hard. We rolled into a beautiful garden near the river in Benalla for breakfast and Sunrise cross. My weather app had the feels like temp at freezing and I agreed. It was the coldest start on tour but it quickly blossomed into a beautiful blue bird day without a breath of wind.

Today was all about recovery after the first mighty 6 days and we rode a relaxed 140km to get to Albury. Two schools on route, will post photos tomorrow and a visit to Lexus, Optus and the CBA branch in Albury where Jason looked after us. It was then to the park to play with the kids at Camp Quality before rolling into our motel.

Pace was easy today given we now have 3 days in the mountains and everyone is feeling the 1100 odd Kms in their legs. The pharmacy across the road thought all their Christmases had cone at once when we arrived. Lotions, pain killers, straps to raise a few things. My archilles on my right foot was very sore all day and I will be in for some suffering tomorrow. I am a little anxious about it. Will check in tomorrow and with photos.
