Day 4-5

Hi guys,

Two massive days just passed by. 180km yesterday. In bed by 9h30. And today, 217km! Luckily, it was two flat stages. Saying that my legs are not hurting right now would be lying. However, the cause for doing this worth all the pain that I have today. Yesterday and today we started to visit school. The aim of this is to give presentation to the kids to get them aware about cancer and what can we do to minimise the risk of developing it. The most striking part of this presentation is that when we ask the kids if they know someone who have/had cancer, 80% of the kids raised their hands… This is scary! Again, another great motivation for to finish this ride. Tonight, we had a great celebration. At 3h30 this afternoon, the Tour the Cure reach 10 million dollar in fundraising (over the 7 year of the existence of the Tour). All this money is used to support cancer research project, the people who look under the microscope for a cure! This is a great achievement and all this is because of you! Thank you everyone for the support provided! To celebrate the event, my employer Life Technologies gave to every riders and the support team a nice jersey that we will be wearing tomorrow. I will try to put some pictures to show you how great we look in pink. In the meantime, here some pictures of the two last days, I can`t put too much at a time because of the way the blog is set up. However, once back to Melbourne, I will prepare something that you will all be able to access (with a French version as well).

That`s it for tonight. Tomorrow, 172km is waiting for us with a 6 degree in the morning. This will be interesting. Let`s see how the legs will be.

Good night!
