Tour de Cure…here i come!
Welcome to My Tour de Cure Blog.
For those who don’t know me my name is Kent and I love to ride bikes.
One of my first memories in life was getting a bike for Christmas when I was 4 years old. It was way to big for me. I remember my mum propping me up on the seat and pushing between lounge room and kitchen in our little flat. My feet couldn’t touch the pedals. I hadn’t even worked out how to stay upright…but this was what i wanted to do.
Since then i can’t remember not riding.
I love being active, healthy and happy. Bike riding gives me this.
But I’m lucky. There are many people in the world who are not able to just jump on a bike and be healthy. That choice has been taken from them. Cancer does not give you the option. It takes.
So maybe that’s why I’ve chosen to dedicate the next 5 months to fundraising and training for the Tour de Cure. So the money I raise will go towards helping people get back that chance to be active, healthy and happy.
