About me …

Hi … I’m Owen. I’ve worked in Bangor Community Pharmacy since February 1995.

My first contact with Tour de Cure was in 2008 when I wanted to buy a new jersey … so I jumped online to search for charity cycling jersey & the first site was Tour de Cure. Rang Sam & chatted about the jersey, what they were doing, why they were doing it, the upcoming ride from Melbourne to Sydney … I was “hooked” !  Signed up for the 2009 ride from Brisbane to Cairns & have been privileged to have been involved ever since !

Unfortunately, we’ve all seen the physical, emotional and psychological effects of cancer on the person, their family and friends. We need to continue to raise money to fund cancer research, support and prevention programs. We need to continue making a difference.

I’m blessed to have the love and support of an amazing family – Heather, Greg & Michael. Without their support I wouldn’t have the privilege of being part of Tour de Cure and the opportunity to make a difference.

Tour de Cure has already done a lot but there is still so much more to be done.

We are still burying too many people before their time.
