Watch out Bunnings…we are becoming Experts!

We held our Tour de Cure fund raising BBQ at Darling Park on Monday in absolutely perfect weather…we are hoping this is a sign of the Signature Tour to come.  Not as big as CBP but we did have a good turn out from the DP1 gang and anyone our volunteers could grab walking through the precinct.  John Binfield from Comminsure hosted the event and once again did a very professional job in telling people about TDC, bringing them in for sausages and posing lots of daring stunts for our team riding on the stationary bikes.  We spun like crazy for close to 2 hours, sold close to 400 sausages and raised a further $2,000 for the cause.  I never thought I would say this but I’m beginning to enjoy the trainer.  It has always been the thing you drag out on a wet wild day when you have absolutely no other option however the social aspects of the BBQs have been fantastic.  Lots of people stopped by to say hi and ask lots of questions as well as leaving us with a feeling that we are bordering on mad riding a push bike for 1,540km!

Leave for Adelaide tomorrow…the excitement builds. 2 more sleeps until we roll out onto our 10 day journey….
