Waiting for the plane to Adelaide

Well it’s ANZAC day and as we all know ANZAC day mornings are very calm in most parts of Sydney. The marches are on and there are people already playing Two up and others are enjoying a sleep in.

It’s also quiet on the roads as Lindy and the boys drive me out to the airport. Lucas keeps telling me he will miss me however he is already negotiating with Mum about heading to a new park once they have dropped me off. Harrison is none the wiser but still a cuddly, affectionate little bear.  He may not talk a lot but he takes it all in.

Hugs all round and I’m off….I’m glad the gang came out to the airport. It can be quite depressing sitting in a cab and lets face it we do it enough for work.

Sitting at the airport, I’m convinced I’ve missed packing something but I can’t put my finger on it…I’m sure it will come to mind Day 5 when I really need it.  I’m feeling excited and ready to go.  The build up has been great and hopefully I’ve managed to dodge a cold that the whole household has been suffering the last week or so.  Looking forward to meeting the whole team at our briefing this afternoon.  Between now and then, I’m taking a last few hours of quiet personal time to relax.  Something tells me the next 10 days are going to be pretty full on…
