Cold and wet in the UK for an important Christmas

It’s 6.30am here in the UK and it’s not exactly bike riding weather.  We’ve bought the whole family over from Australia to spend what will very likely be Dad’s last Christmas. We’ve been dealing with Dad’s cancer in the family for over 7 years, but its now that the true reality of the situation hits home. We haven’t got long to say all those things that you want to say or to ask those questions you’ve never had an answer too…. most of all though, its about having quality time in each others presence.

I couldn’t feel more closely connected to the cause and that’s why I’m planning on raising as much as possible to directly fund research, support and awareness projects through the Tour de Cure.

With the Tour now only 4 months away its important to keep up the base fitness before ramping up the training in January. So, with the rain coming down and it still dark outside…. I’m off for a 10k run and a gym session.

Merry Christmas to you all. Enjoy a fantastic time with your friends and family.
