Work, life, training, fundraising balance. Thanks to Marketo

It’s good to be back in Australia and have a level of routine back into life.  Clearly as a family we still have a period of adjustment to come to terms with life without Dad but it’s time to look forward.

On the home front life has been hectic with the kids having to adjust from the jetlag and Sean starting school this week.

I’ve been all too aware of the fact that the Tour is now less than 12 weeks away and it’s time to get serious about some training.  This week I’ve started ramping things up before work and managed to get in a couple morning rides over 90k’s.  This on top of the 140k ride on Sunday and the legs are feeling the workload.  I’m really enjoying getting back into it and will continue to ramp up during the next week or so, introducing some strength and interval work in readiness for some racing.

Work is hectic at the moment, a lot of time and energy being put into woking through key deal, so the head space for fundraising has been limited this week.  I did however get some great news on Monday with marketing automation company, Marketo agreeing to sign up as a corporate sponsor.

Marketo have tapped into the fact that a significant proportion of the Cure squad are very senior executives in some Australia’s largest companies.  These execs are giving their personal time to a cause they feel passionate about.  I’ll personally be providing some soft introductions to Marketo to squad riders by means of recognising their support.

If you are, or know of a corporate that may like to become involved in this great cause. Do let me know. Thanks
