I’m officially accepted for the 2012 ride.
Well today I got the official nod for the 2012 Tour de Cure team.
That means that in about 4 months time I will be riding 1650km from Brisbane to Mission Beach.

……..You’re on the team for the 2012 Signature Tour from Brisbane to Mission Beach. As we embark on our 6th signature tour, we set our sights on inspiring a region that has done it tough the last 12mths. With your help we will raise the spirits and awareness of those we meet along the way. Our goal is to raise $2million and share our cancer awareness message with over 4000 kids. The plans are in place for a fantastic trip and all you need to do now, is inspire your community with your participation in this challenging event, get fit and fundraise.
We trust you will share our values of TRUST / DOER / COLLABORATION knowing they keep us focused on our TRIPLE A ~ Awareness / Ambassadors / Achievements. If any of you have not attended one of our info sessions please let me know and I will get some time with you in the coming weeks.
Profile on the Website – We are aiming to get you up on the website by next Friday. If we don’t have your head shot and reason for doing the ride can you please get this in to Em (cc’d) by Monday. Em will be sending you an invite to attend a WEBINAR in the coming weeks to see the amazing new TEAM ONLY section. It’s HOT!
Em will be your key point of contact for fundraising. She’s a bundle of energy and will share some great idea’s and resources we have available to you. Hold off calling her before we get you up on the website as she has a bit on right now 🙂
Training – You should all by now have the training program. Be sure to check out the website to see where people are riding in your state.
To make sure you get the most out of this TOUR or any Tour de Cure rides, put in the training and come in to the event as fit as you can possibly be. You’ll enjoy it all the more.
Enjoy your Australia Day celebrations. We will be in touch early next week, hopefully not because we are chasing head shots and reasons for doing the ride. I will share the team list with you all on Friday …….knowing you’re all keen to see who has made it in your state.
