As part of my training I choose to incorporate indoor training to add variety and another dimension.
Indoor training is a great way to increase your lactate threshold (http://www.lactate.com/lactate_threshold.html). which basically means that you can ride faster, stronger and longer without your legs stopping.
To do this the coach takes you through a series of efforts with the goal to hold your heart rate above the 90% mark.
It takes some will power to do this and withstand the signals coming from your legs to stop and rest but with 6 weeks to go its something that I know will make me stronger !!
