About Me

Most days and weekends for me involve a ride with mates, a race, or some hard-core training.  My son Jacob started racing with Parramatta juniors 6-7 years ago, and it got me started.  Now I race both track and road, and love the passion, enthusiasm and community of the cycling world.

And I’ve had a few friends and colleagues diagnosed and treated for cancer.  One, tragically, did not survive, but others have fought hard and are flourishing.  Knowing that treatment and cure is getting more likely is inspiring, and does provide increasing hope for cancer patients and loved ones.

I jumped at the chance to be part of Tour de Cure, as it is a fantastic way of using the passion of cycling towards a very worthy aim of helping to cure cancer, and to talk to young people about how to give themselves the best chance of preventing cancer.
