Final countdown week!!
Woohoo – I am excited now!! In 4 days I get to catch up with an amazing bunch of like minded people whom I find so inspiring. It is such an (enjoyable) emotional roller coaster being on Tour.
An easy week on the bike with only 298km and 2,069m elevation. On Saturday I drove down to the Goldy and did a very picturesque and flat 103km ride with 5 others from my LBB cycling group. My legs are feeling great after another ‘nasty’ but beneficial remedial massage last week.
We hosted a TdC BBQ at our house on Saturday night which was a lovely pre Tour get together to say thanks to our families (for all the hours we are absent on our bikes). Kathryn Egan made the most amazing cake, and it tasted damn fine too!!
Yesterday a High Tea was hosted for me at My Sweetopia South Brisbane. Irene and the girls did an amazing spread of food (too much), and everyone enjoyed a relaxing Sunday afternoon munching on savoury and sweet goodies.

So this week involves a fair bit of chilling, packing, final organising and then enjoying birthday celebrations before I jump on the plane for Sydney on Thursday morning.
Thank you to each and every one of my supporters and those that have donated to this amazing cause. Even just the kind words that you post on Facebook or on the donation page really means so much to me and gives me a huge boost. To be called an inspiration is such an amazing feeling. Someone very special wrote this for me, and it is words like this that I will carry all the way from Sydney to Hobart: “There are few people on this planet who give so much inspiration to all around them than you Jodi. You are a very special individual and I am truly blessed to know you personally. Of course I will be there to support you on your special day. Thank you for being you. X”. Wow!
Leave a message for me:
If you want you can even spread the word and post it on facebook.
