Hi, I’m Andrew Woodward and I want to ride to cure cancer because too many of our family have been impacted by this horrible disease. Four years ago when my mother in law was taken from us way to early I promised my wife Jodie that one day I would do the Tour De Cure in her memory. I was thrilled to be able to do the tour in 2014 with the support of Jodie and our two kids Blake and Mikayla, riding from Sydney to Hobart in what turned out to be an incredible experience and physical challenge.

Unfortunately the impact of cancer spreads far wider than my mother in law. My father, father in law and brother in law have all had experience with the disease. Thankfully they have received positive post treatment results. This year however more friends and supporters are suffering from the effects and impact of cancer, which has made me more committed to raising funds and awareness.

The stress that cancer causes all family members when someone close is fighting the disease is significant. I want to be part of the team that does something to assist the discovery of a cure for cancer.
