Day 4 Signature Tour

Adaminaby to Corryong 143km 3,656m elevation over 6hrs 16min ride time.

Today was the most amazing and spectacular day of riding I have ever done.  Not an easy day by any stretch of the imagination but just such a memorable day.  We had absolutely perfect riding conditions.  The sky was vivid blue and we were at 1,500m on the Great Dividing Range.  It was a cold and foggy start to the morning but the  fog cleared early.  It’s amazing being up amongst the snow fields.  We had some epic climbs, but then the most amazing descents down into valleys.

The local lions club put on an amazing spread tonight.  There were a few auctions for scones and fruit cake that went for over $1000 each!!  This is all fundraising for TdC, so it’s pretty cool.  They also had the coolest band of three ‘older’ gentlemen.  I sat with the local CWA ladies and chatted to them all night.  There was a huge crowd of locals at the dinner, so lovely to see that level of support from a small community.

It’s been a very long day so I am off to bed.  Will attach some photos tomorrow when I have more energy!!

Woohoo – cannot believe we are already up to day five tomorrow!
