Day 3 – Out of my comforts
Day 3: Meningie to Bordertown
Distance: 180km
Total Ascent: 251m
Day 3
I think I am cold !!! The morning started in the rain after having an amazing breakfast in the middle of the golf club with many locals watching Sab(100 ideas man) try to get a whole in one. It was very entertaining and took my mind off being so cold and wet. Rode the first 40km in the cold rain which wasn’t all that great. Once we stopped for Smoko it started to clear and pace pick back up in the pelaton. I got a little moved by many stories of people and what they have gone through in their life.
I also share our amazing home town and the people I feel close to affected by cancer in my life. It breaks my heart to see people having to suffer and not be able to do a thing about it. I know I can make a small impact by doing small things to help people have a better life.
I had a big day of riding and very excited after such a fast pace group to arrive in Bordertown. We then went straight to do the laundry and then to tea. Tea was late finishing and couldn’t get my blogs finished for the days passed. Couldn’t get to sleep at all and think I ended up with 4 hours maybe in total. I am sure tomorrow will be a great day ahead as we have our school presentation and the fun part of sharing with the kids.
