Wow how amazing is our little Bowen Community – Shows everyone how generous this town is fill of. Thank you to my MOST amazing friends who helped at the last fundraising event before tour. You are all sooo very giving and legends in my book! Thanks Judy and Jackie for the organisation of this and making it a success. Then Jayne, Steve, Grace, Nan, Kris, Kylie, Owen, Cathy, Tanya, Jacinta and many others. To our generous Nathan Boyle who was so good to set up the sound for the event. You guys Rock!! It was such a success and has set a standard for such a little town…. I am so proud to live and know this amazing community.

I am a little nervous and have a few pains leading up to tour this year as well as without my bike AGAIN for weeks leading up to tour ! Yes Electronic failure but all fixed and will get to ride it on my first day of tour. I have to keep my fitness up still leading up to tour but not as much as I have been doing. With being out of town and riding in a city it is a little scary to have total faith in the roads and cars. Another world living in a city ! I have helped out with a Tour De Cure cents sale Saturday night with my riding friends here and did a course to help me in the future work wise. I have fitted in some work and a little study and socializing also. So much to cram.

Sad news to hear for one reason or another some of my favorite people are not on tour. I know I will meet and embrace other amazing people who are new to tour. A Queensland rider here who is a cancer survivor has had to pull out the last weekend of tour due to a fall on the weekend and we are all guttered to say the least. David H we send our healing thoughts and love and hope to see you soon – I am sad and devastated for you mate.

I must say I am looking forward to inspiring the younger generation to being FIT, HEALTHY & HAPPY. It is my most favorite part of tour! These kids just get it! It’s simple and I know us as adults really learn from them. We need to smell the Roses and just enjoy the simple things along the way. We live in an amazing lace and have so much to be grateful for! Sometimes there are time when things get you down but just dust yourself off and be kind to yourself. Rant over!

Flying out for Adelaide tomorrow in preparation for tour the cold weather and get to know the team. Nervous, excited and can’t wait to start another journey. Thank you for all your support everyone. I love you all and looking forward to sharing the journey. 2 more sleeps and ready to roll!!
