You stood up for your belief in my cause, with Your Donations, knowing they’re going to make a difference…and how right you are!  Just ask any cancer patient.

 

With every turn of the pedal I think of the promise I made to all those patients, every turn of the wheels brings me closer to our goal.  Some would call it an adventure, but it isn’t.  A labor of love is more like it.  But it’s not me, it’s you.

 

Your labor of love, giving to a cause that needs you so desperately and yet… without hesitation you understood.

 

You gave.  You donated.  You showed that you care.

 

The pain of pedaling and riding for hours upon hours gives me a quiet confidence, a portable tranquility, because I know you’re there, you’re helping, you’re making this dream come true.  It’s my privilege to ride these 1540 Km’s, because this ride is unlike any other ride in the world…this ride allows cancer patients to see that you understand and that you want to help.  Together we’re going to defeat this disease, this enemy that takes away our loved ones.

 

If you could see the bright, hope filled eyes of these brave and long suffering souls who know that their chance for life depends on donations from the kindness of good hearted folks like you.

 

These cancer patients are so special, so loving, and so positive,

 it’s with a quiet confidence that they reassure and inspire all of us.

 

As the weeks pass by, I promise to keep you up to date with my progress and sharing my experiences with you.  I’ll be blogging about my encounters and experiences along the way.  You’ll be able to be there with me as I talk with your fellow Aussie’s about my mission.

 

My deepest hope is that this tour will raise the awareness of the need to fight cancer.  Together, we will eliminate this unforgiving disease once and for all.

 

You’re right there with me for the best reason I can think of… you’re my best travel companion! Your generosity has proven to be far more extraordinary than I could’ve dreamed.  Please, spread the word and let’s reach this goal together!
