Day 3 & 4

Tough day – day 3 in the rain and then headwind with flat roads and scenery for 188km. This was a butt numbing day on the saddle. Made it fun though with soimage image image image image image image image image image imageme laughs and banter to keep the moral up. Love the fact we get to work together as a team, stronger riders breaking the wind and leading the peloton. It is the best feeling to have support on every shoulder you turn. The day was long, Waking up every morning from 4.45 – 5.15 and getting into bed at 10-10.30. We started riding at 7.45pm  and finished at 5.30pm. Long day tired and sore, but nothing to complain about. The ride is tough but all worth the cause and great to give back to the people who are going through a tough life with cancer or families coping with cancer. I love the awareness of cancer prevention, treatment and research. Long but tough day 3.

Day 4 was much easier, mind you these are the times were being a girl is never convenient. Just suck it up princess and we roll on. Great company on the bike today. Good pace until the last 20km rolling into town. The butt is sore from being wet! Yes it did rain again but not as bad as previous days. These are the times I miss home and the hugs and the warmth. Cold Wet Windy and More cold! Nothing to complain about though. The kids school visits was so exciting and they has so much energy which is what I do this for. Our young generation coming through, knowing what they need to do to prevent cancer. Simple really, Be Fit, Be Happy, Be Healthy. So rolled into town ready to attend the community dinner. Can’t wait for another day in the saddle and more kids to visit. Praying for a sunny day !
