2nd day rain again

Dad and Grandad would be proud. We attended the beautiful and cold dawn service this morning. It was truly memorable and very large. Just another early cold morning’s start! I just confirmed that one of the Adelaide locals said “it was the coldest day even colder than last winter!” Nice to hear the weather is turning on for us chuckle.

Today was slightly better but not overly. We started with a good pace and my back was in so much pain after a massage that I didn’t know if I would make the day. After some inflamatories and painkillers it slowly came good. The cold weather didn’t help.

So we set a cracking pace to lunch and thereafter the rains and wind came to haunt us. Rain that hurts your face as the wind drives it straight into you. Then the 50km hour headwinds as we came home into Miningie. It was brutal and straight in your face. Poor guys out the front who had to push into it over 75km hour winds! Legends and can’t thank them enough. We were an awesome peterton who  worked together so well. The whole team worked and stuck together. That’s what it’s all about. Working together to help each other no matter what you ability. Such great people who in there own right are unique and special. Love being around these people but also miss being around my beautiful family and community. So many emotions and so tired but we made it and had a great night. I got another cuddle fix with a little girl today and played Crocket with some older people. Sat with some older triathletes and enjoy d getting amongst it all. I bought cake and scones for the auction tonight which raised $200. It was fun and it all counts. Not many photos today and heading to bed.
