Slacker

OK I am a slacker!!!

I have been really slack not updating you over the last month. I am so sorry.

Lots of things happening. Training at 4am in the mornings to get long rides in. Got food poisoning picking up 2 types of bacteria and then caught the flu.(It is a fine line when you are training this hard to keep your body healthy and well as well as run a household smoothly) Lacking energy and a few days off training but pushed through it. getting back to riding 190km rides and backing up with long rides of 160 +. Everyone goes through challenges of some kind but i guess it’s how you deal with them that counts. Not that I am a good sick person haha poor Owen…..Rode many high moutains and tough group rides but it has prepared me for the adventure ahead. Owen thought he was taking time off but little did he know the pain he was going to endure of being my training partner. He pushed me and I pushed him and others. It was good to have support when you are lacking energy. One weekend we rode 375km over 3 days and the week was over 700km. I have my last little bit of training and confidence now before I head off next Friday for the ride.

Now time to settle down and let my body recover and make sure everything at home is in ship shape before I leave the family next Wednesday for a couple of weeks. They are going to join me on the Sunday and see me ride in to Canberrra which is very exciting.

Thanks for all your support,

From Naomi Land
